Well looks as though the sunshine has gone for us today. Really dull & cloudy here and heavy rain is forecast for this morning. Need some rain to fill the water butts, one is empty and the other really low.


Have you been watching the Commonwealth Games? What a lovely smile the swimmer from Shetlands had when winning her gold medal. Suspect she will take over as the pin up girl for swimming now.

Hammered it down here yesterday, tomatoes needed it but not holding out hope of any veg from them this summer tbh.

Same here yesterday. My poor DH went for his first game of golf after finishing his treatment and they had to call it off. The balls were floating around on the green after about 5 minutes!
Thought I wouldn't need to water my runner beans today, but had to go out and do them this evening.

Looks like the rain will hit us today, we have hardly had any for ages, just a few showers which only lasted a few minutes.

Its very grey and cloudy so won't risk putting any washing out today.

Hasn't rained in North Yorkshire yet. Bit breezy today but sunny most of the day. Went to Goathland, saw lots of Heartbeat stuff - the Police car, etc.
