It will be a very boring thread if we all say hi everyday and that's it.

I am busy with work and home and chilling away from the laptop

Even my poor thread is neglected.

Looking around mse a lot of the busy threads are quiet. People on hols, enjpying the good weather, busy with work.

Where's Clyndu? Off on hols? I want a postcard.

Kerri I.sent you a PM when you have a minute.

As Aesop said, everywhere seems quiet at the moment, apart from the shops when I pop out from work at lunchtime and there are loads of unhappy children about!

I have been making the most of the weather too and we have been sitting in the garden each evening for our meal (and staying out there probably too long too, got to make the most of this weather) and although I can use laptop outside, it is really difficult to see the screen with the sunshine. I know we shouldn't complain.

We have internet back up and running. Not sure what the problems were, but our router had lost all settings, and speaking to some friends, they had the same problem "after and upgrade!" same as us. Anyway, they will give us £10 compensation and no more. Think we are just so relieved to have internet back we will just take the £10 and look around for another internet provider. Need to do some homework on who offers good customer service, preferably with UK call centre, if there is such a thing.

I will do my best to post each day where possible, but weekends could be a little difficult as we have visitors for the next couple of weekends, then off on hols again :j:j

Just been digging my broccoli out of the garden as it has all gone to seed. Never grown broccoli before and thought I would give it a try, but probably won't bother again. Will stick to what I know I can grow.

OK, off to do my ironing now, then a bath and sit and watch TV in my pyjamas. Haven't done that for ages!

Did you manage a car boot? I haven't done one this year, although got pelnty of [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] treasure to get rid of.

I did Blue, thanks for asking. Actually did far better than anticipated and made profit in three figures. Sorted some bits left for the next one, a bag for charity, a load of mini-toiletries for another and a few bits were binned. Very theraputic all in all :)

Not sure who your internet is with but we have Sky and they are generally very good - we have Sat TV so have the unlimited b'band for £7.50 a month. When we moved we waited 2yrs for the exchange to be upgraded before we could go back to them (otherwise £17 a month ). Had BE in the meantime - in the end not so cheap and service not reliable. Sky have UK call centres too btw.

Well it's swinging between blazing sun and monsoon season here - which means the garden will need mowing again before I know it. Busy start to the week at work (understatement of the week) and blue cheese & spinach quiche baking in the oven. Found that if you immerse limp spinach in iced water it has the same effect as lettuce and lasts ages.

Right, hope everyone is doing ok - big hugs to anyone who needs (or wants) them xx

We are with Talk Talk at the moment for internet and BT for line rental. We have the anytime package with BT as we do make lots of calls during the day as well as evening and weekends so we would also need a package that would give us free phone calls at any time. Do you know if Sky offer that facility?

shopndrop take a look at plusnet.

They are based in Yorkshire and definitely have a UK call centre 24/7.

    http://www.plus.net/home-broadband/

they offer basic broadband with £5 per month unlimited calls and £14.50 a month line rental. (Maybe if you pay this up front, you get a discount?)
Plus £25 cashback direct from them.

    take a look.

that would be really lovely to meet up with you if you are coming down :) let me know.

    Good morning guys

Nice to see some life in the thread.

My son had a hospital appointment yesterday afternoon re his foot. After waiting an hour and a half and realising everyone who came in after us had been seen and gone my son asked when he was being seen.

They admitted that somewhere between reception and their desk his file had gone missing?????????????????????????????????

After another 20 minutes of looking they found it in the wrong place, and said they don't know how that happened as Stephen was the first appointment.

So for a 2 minute check of his toe he was sat there for over 2 hours as when he got to be seen he was told his consultant is off and the replacement doc looked at his toe and said come back in 6 weeks.

So boring waiting in hospitals waiting rooms.

The sun is shining again but out garage roof is shiny. You can tell it rained overnight but the roof is normally like that after frost, surely we haven't had some frost last night....
