Do basic jobs / entry level roles get advertised?

Maybe its just around here but its a common thing I've noticed when I've been searching, its especially noticeable on the likes of Reed Monster etc, Doesn't seem to matter the type of job,

Some examples:

Service Desk Leader
Supervisor: Holland & Barratt

Where do the likes of 1st line support, cashier etc get advertised?

So basically the basic jobs get advertised on the companies websites but only the decent jobs make it onto these jobsites?

What's stopping you looking at the company website?

Maybe they advertise more senior roles as they are harder to fill

Most of the jobs advertised on those websites are done so through recruitment agencies, who charge a hefty fee of up to 25% of a year's salary.

They often, therefore, only take on salaried vacancies. Retail jobs are easy to fill, often through speculative applications. Why pay someone a small fortune to find an employee for you, when any (relatively) unskilled applicant will do?

Most employers will only use recruitment services when they need something specific.

I don't think a shop really goes via an agency

Recruitment services are more agencies not job boards - they are just an extended advert from their own site

It costs about £200 to post a job on monster. If its a low level job then the return probably isn't worth the cost compared to your own website/local paper/job centre/poster in your window
