Should I use Betta tax?

Hi few lads in work have claimed using Betta tax, but they take 30% of what your owed, also am worried tax will charge me more on next tax yr. should I go accountant or just leave it. Am I allowed to claim tax back am on paye. If anybody could help any advice would be great.
