Thank You I will look. You don't think of these things. I wonder how many people put repair requests in for the guttering last winter to the council!

I'm glad this has been resolved for you and I know this may be too late, but it appears that your mounting rails run vertically, and your neighbours run horizontally.

They might have had a good reason for this, but it's probably just a different mounting system that sits a bit higher. Mine are similar and it should not cause any problem. However, as I could see the hollow sections of mounting rail poking out at the bottom, I got the company to fit end caps to tidy it up. A subtle improvement perhaps, but I'm fussy :)

It may also be worth you popping out on a windy day and see if you can see any cables flapping about. The cables under the panels should be reasonably secure (zip tied or something) so they don't flap about in the wind and wear through the insulation. This is not really a safety issue though, more a reliability one.
My PV system: South West England, 10x 250Wp Trina Solar panels, Fronius Inverter, South facing roof, 35° pitch with no shading.

    Thank You,

That is a good point about the cables. I will have a look on a windy day

Beware coming out of the back door this winter after snow, you could get buried!! At least one MSE'er claimed the snow took out the guttering.

Solar panels offer much less friction than tiles.

Scared the crap out of me the first time this happened, the snow reached a critical mass on the panels then dumped itself in one go on the extension roof
