How long did you have to wait

People who went BR in the Strand can you tell me how long you had to wait for the OR interview and was it face to face or over the phone?
Went BR 25th May 2007 at 12.33, OR Interview now done. BSC No 88

Hi otm - I was given a piece of paper, by the clerk at the High Court, with the address and phone number of the Insolvency Service. He told me to go there, or phone up, to see if they would see me on the same day. I telephoned and they said I could come around the next day, but when I explained that I lived outside of London, they told me that they would 'transfer' it to a local OR. It was two weeks before I heard from the OR office, in Bristol, and a further two weeks before my OR interview.
    Hope this helps.

Went BR on 25th May, still waiting for that feeling of elation that is supposed to come, but maybe after the OR interview it might. My main problem is that I am probably being too hard on myself, I went BR on the advice of CCCS after ringing them to try and set up a DMP. My debts are huge and my credit cards were mainly used for day to day expenses and moving debt around as it got too much for me, I kidded myself into thinking I could manage but obviously I couldn't. The real sickner is that yesterday I got a letter from Nat West (my main creditor) with a load of blank cheques for me to balance transfer onto my cards (no limit left on them). Some people are good with credit, I am not one of them. I dont ever want to get credit and I am currently only dealing in cash, have panic attacks though when I go shopping in case I dont have enough. One good thing to come out of this is that Sainsburys dont get all my money now as I shop around for my weekly shop.

I went BR there - my OR interview was over the phone & I had to wait a month for it. My OR told me the delay was due to pressure of work, & as I've heard that there have been more BR applications so far this year than last, I think you can expect to wait at least a month for that court. It's one of the few that doesn't levy the £150 court fee & also allows you to turn up on the day, & I can imagine that makes it a more attractive court to go to if it's at all possible.

I went BR at the strand, two weeks for me until I heard from the OR, which I thought was quite quick. However, they have been slow with other parts of the process such as writing to my creditors.

    Hi,

It was 4 weeks to the day before I heard from the OR after BR.
I guess its one of those things that varies so much because of how busy they are getting.

Notice our local court is now into the 600's of 2007 !!!
