whats the earliest discharge date?

hi i know bankruptcy lasts for a maximum of 1 year. however what is the quickest anyone has been discharged? tahanks

The earliest possible discharge is just over 5 months.
The Official Receiver has several set periods to work to during your BR, and it is these that result in this minimum time.
Early discharge is not guaranteed, even in simple cases, since if the OR's office is busy with new cases their resources have to be used to process these.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I was made bankrupt on 19 Dec 2006, if all goes to plan (fingers crossed!!!!) I will be discharged on thursday 7th June 2007. That makes it 5 months and 19 days...I think!Fight for clean hospitals, C-DIFF takes lives

Also if you do not surrender to proceeding then your discharge can be suspended indefinately.
