Hi everyone

We have applied for a mortage with skipton building society, noticed no credit search done, although one been carried out by bank of Scotland? Is this the same company?

I called skipton and all they were waiting for was the e decoration form from the broker, then they said an offer would be made!

We have been waiting 6 weeks now so getting a little impatient!

Skiptin and BoS are different firms.

6 weeks with skipton is a very long time.

I had one go to offer within a month (has the valuation been done?), that was about a week or 2 back. The e-declaration form could have been sent back on day 1, so for that to be holding everything up is poor.

Skipton use a credit agency called callcredit - so any search they do is unlikely to show on equifax or experien.

Thanks guys!! Long long process but today we received the offer!!! We are officially moving house (when the builders hurry up)
