Gmail and outlook express

Just wondering if anyone else is having problems getting their gmail messages in outlook express?

I have two gmail accounts, pop is enabled with them both but for the past few days when I try to access it via outlook express I get

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'Gmail', Server: 'pop.gmail.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I've not changed any settings at all and everything was working fine until a few days ago. I can still log in on the site and get my mail.

I downloaded googles pop troubleshoot tool and it tells me everything is set up correctly. So before I start messing around I thought I'd see if it anyone else was having the same problem?
