Cyprus Wedding Cost

Hi Everyone

I proposed to my girlfriend at Christmas time and are now thinking of where to get married. My friend is getting married next year in England and it is costing approx £24 grand! Which for 1 day I think is too much. We love going abroad and have both agreed that we want to go to Cyprus. Can anybody advise what they have paid for similar wedding. We have said we would happy paying £10 grand for everything including our honeymoon over their no scrimping the full works, in total we will be over there for 3 weeks, or just under. Any help would be great. Thanks

Daughter getting married in Cyprus in September 08. She wants a very simple wedding (thank heavens). I have a wedding planner who has arranged the actual ceremony, the planner cost £200 but this covers any arranging that she does (JUST the arranging, not the costs involved!). So far I've only paid £427.00, which is the £200 for the planner and the fees for arranging the ceremony which includes all the paperwork. Sincerely hope to do it all for £5-7K, this includes travel and accommodation for five people (everyone else paying for themselves), reception for about 45 which I hope will be about £20-£25 per head, car, photographer, flowers and invitations. Lots of information on https://www.cyprusdreamweddings.com which is where I found the wedding planner.

You should have no problem at all doing it all for £10k.

Would be interested to hear if anyone else on MSE has got married in Paphos, I wonder if anyone can recommend a small typically Greek outdoor taverna covered in vines/flowers etc where we could hold the reception. Although will probably have to visit there later this year.
