    Hi,
Rang CSA, he is on benefits and has no income yet he continues to work. He is still employed but cash in hand and has been seen at work by people I know.
He bragged to me he is working and laughed about it.I have put in an appeal to the CSA so fingers crossed.
It is possible that he may have become a carer but he does work full time so not sure how that would work.
The worse thing is that the kids are lovely, well mannered, thoughtful and he doesn't realise how lucky he is to have them.

Thanks for all the help on this forum.

Sorry to spoil your rain, CS contributions are calculated on legal income, so cash in hand doesn't count I'm afraid, I know my PWC works cash in hand after doing the minimum 21 hrs per week then claiming for this and that, then gets my 15% too, however she is somehow still struggling (prolly bad with money) it would gain me nothing to grass her up to the authorities, just make sure you and the young ones are ok, thats the best you can do.

If you think he is fraudulently claiming benefits, then that is a matter for the job centre or relevant benefit office to investigate as they decide eligibility. The CSA just use other government department's decisions to calculate liability. So if the Job Centre decide someone is eligible for JSA, the CSA accept that decision. Like DUTR says, maintenance is based on legal income.

This is a list of some of the benefits that can lead to a flat rate calculation:

    Armed Forces Compensation Scheme payments
    Bereavement Allowance
    Incapacity Benefit
    Income Support
    Employment and Support Allowance
    Jobseeker’s Allowance
    Pension Credit
    State Pension
    Training Allowance
    War Disablement Pension

It's taken from the gov.uk website, which indicates it is not a full list. While your NRP continues to defraud this country and the tax payer, if indeed he is (as some of the benefits that attract a flat rate aren't means tested) the CSA calc is unlikely to change.
I often use a tablet to post, so sometimes my posts will have random letters inserted, or entirely the wrong word if autocorrect is trying to wind me up. Hopefully you'll still know what I mean.
