Egg white in carpet

Options
Hi :)

I spilled 4 egg whites onto the carpet earlier. I quickly soaked up what I could with a towel as I had no time clean it up, I was in a mad rush. Well... It looks like it's drying now, and leaving a huge stain :( is there any way I can remove this?

I'm quietly panicking.

As it's protein, I would probably give it a good shampoo with some diluted biological washing liquid. Let the water cool though as you don't want cooked egg white in the carpet fibres.

Sounds like all it needs is a good clean as you soaked up the excess but did not remove all of the spilt food.

Either use some mild soapy water or a good carpet cleaner, allow to dry and then hoover well.
Work the stain inwards when cleaning and not outwards or this will cause it to spread.

Rub salt in then scrape up remains. Shampoo with bio washing powder /liquid in hot water.

I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
