Dental Treatment in which order?

It's all panning out in the order you predicted brook2jack.
Not much likelihood of straightening ever, (X-Rays being passed to Orthodontist) due to weakness of gums. (Bone) Nor implants due to same. One tooth upper right, to be removed as loitering there alone and is badly affected by gum disease. Replaced at least for a while by a denture with 3 teeth. Dentist says if good denture, I will get used to it.
Replacement of old dental work, but I'm a bit concerned that replacing the crown, lower left as he says is difficult and may not work, so may go over that again with him. It's been there for 30 years plus. The metalwork is showing on the gum line which is why I hate it.
My fear is if it doesn't work, There will be a gap. A gap on the lower cannot be filled, least to my knowledge. I had the conversation of an absolute NO to lower denture.
First appointment today with the hygienist. She used a water based throbbing thing to loosen the tartar, then manually scraped it away. Today was cosmetic as I couldn't smile without covering my mouth. Next will be a local and deep cleaning. half mouth at a time.
She passed me the mirror and I burst into tears..
You see those people who have veneers and cry on makeovers? That was me today. My crooked lower teeth no longer had lines to emphasise them, but they were like a plain white sheet of paper with no lines, so they are hardly noticeable. Its a wonder I didn't crash the car on the way home, looking at my lower teeth.
Worst pockets are 7, she said very bad, but at the back, not where I thought at the front.
I am very happy with my choice of dentist and feel completely confident in them so all is good.
Thought I'd let you know as you've given your time.0 -
Why do you seem to think that people on this forum are better qualified to answer your question than your dental practitioner. I would have thought that all your questions about your dental treatment would be far better aimed in that direction.
You could always go back up your tree or something.0
