Free bread & milk at asda (merged)

This has been posted as a passing comment on other boards but as it's truly a freebie and not really obvious on other boards (doesn't seem to have a thread on it's own) i thought it was worth highlighting.

In Saturdays papers, if you take a kwiksave carrier bag (these cost 1p each if you can find a store) or a receipt, to asda, they'll give you a voucher for an asda loaf of bread and milk FREE (value £1.55). The advert says it's for a white bloomer and 2pt milk but seems to work against any & all products.
This is valid Sunday & Monday only.
It it completly free if you happen to have an old kwiksave bag or receipt at home, or can find a bag in the kwiksave carpark etc (kinda like wombling I guess).

xx

I wish I had something kwik save related, need bread and milk!

May have a search, there might just be a bag somewhere here - but I have a bad feeling I took them all to asda for recycling :rotfl:

yay! free pint of milk + bloomer loaf from Asda, no probs.

Went straight to customer services and exchanged the Kwik save receipt (not that she even looked at it but it was dated Nov 06) for an Asda voucher worth £1.55 for free bread & milk.

Doesnt specify size of milk or bread, so I picked up a pint of milk 35p and bloomer loaf 88p = £1.35. Picked up a few other items before going to the checkout... The cashier did not know anything about and had to call the supervisor, who said it was fine, just take £1.55 off the amount. So I gained a further 20p off my shop!

There was a full page advert for this in The Express yesterday (I bought it for the free beer! Cheers to the people on the newspaper voucher thread ). In the small print of the ad, it said (as far as I remember - I'm working off memory) you would get a white bloomer and a 2-pint bottle of semi-skimmed milk. Although if the in-store vouchers say something different, then I'd go with that. Don't worry if you missed out today because (as littlejaffa said) the offer's on tomorrow too.

I "wombled" around the house today looking and we have carrier bags for every store but kwik save! I may look under the bed later on!

On the up side the wombling helped me find my hayfever tablets, so that's good :D

According to the OP, 1p each

"(these cost 1p each if you can find a store)"
