Competition win but cannot use them - help!

Hi Everyone, i recently won £100 of costcutter vouchers & received them from head office promptly. I went to my local branch & they refused to take them as it wasnt a main store (or so they said) :mad:

So i phoned my second nearest & they said they wouldnt accept them either. 6 phone calls later i had phoned all stores within 20 miles & they all said no & they would need to be notified by headoffice.

I have emailed them a week ago but no response & emailed again yesterday, obviously i will give them a week or so to respond but any ideas what i can do ? Has anyone ever won costcutter vouchers?

I can't think of anything else to try apart from actually calling them & speak to someone at head office?

I'm wondering if the T&C stated any restrictions on which stores you could spend them? If you get nowhere you could perhaps look into selling them - assuming there's online Costcutters to buy from? I think it sounds a bit bad on the company. I might be tempted to ask on their FB page publically, in a nice way of course. But they might be more inclined to show 'the world' that they are doing right by you.

Are Costcutter stores franchised or something?

That's really disappointing/annoying to win that amount and then nowhere will take them!

Nearly all of them are franchised so I can see the stores would want to be sure they would get the money if they accepted them but there is nothing in the T&C's (of the current competition) to suggest you can only redeem them in main (non-franchised stores).

I won a few years ago a voucher for premier stores only a tenner but when I went to store and got to till with my goods voucher was refused I had letter with me that was sent with vouchers so I rang head office whilst in store to discuss politely problem and head office spoke to manager for me and voucher accepted pronto, so I would advise to go back to store and ask if voucher accepted and if they say no ring head office whilst stood in store and it will get sorted
