Will the court refuse me BR for debts of £10,000???

Just to say that I agree wholeheartedly with you. I think it is a shame that the 'system' allows students to get into 'unavoidable' debt through the student loan scheme, yet comes down on them like 'a ton of bricks' for getting into debt through 'credit'.
I am sorry that you, and many other highly educated graduates, are having to face the prospect of bankruptcy.
I hope that you find a job, which will allow you to use your degree, soon.
Many thanks!I hope so too!
I had a great education and it was up to me to handle my money well (which I admittedly didn't). But the thing that really annoys me is I had a secure place to do a Masters last year which would really help my career along, but had to defer for one year becuase of my debts. I can now never afford to go back in the foreseeable future. The only way I could ever afford it is to get a career Development loan which I can't with my credit rating and impending BR - so doing an MA is no longer possible for me unless I get very lucky in future.
It is shameful that there is no other financial support for graduate from this government other than credit with high interest rates.0 -

No not really. And you're not advised to work full-time during the course (which I have not choice but to do). Hopefully if I am discharged by August 2008 I can get on the course then but I'm reluctant to get into more debt!.0

Yes, I sympathise, having being a postgrad myself. It was borrowing 10.500 to do my Masters that did me in. *sigh* With the benefit of hindsight, i don't think I'd do the MA now - especially as I don't seem to have improved my career prospects with it.BCSC Member 70:j
