Thanks! I am a bit dubious about portable speakers as i dont want to actually take mine anywhere so just a normal good quality speaker dock would be better for me i think....but then again i am a technological retard so maybe i am wrong.

i like the look of the jbl round ones though but someone advised me against it

They come with mains plug and thus can be as portable - or not - as you wish, eitherway at that price you can't find better IMHO sound quality is amazing (and no I don't own the company):rotfl:

I have this one and it is FAB!!
I have it in the bedroom and the sound is awesome.
I got mine from Ebuyer for about £60 with the google £10 discount.

Get the monitor audio i decks, they are good, nice sound quality and pump loud!

I wasn't expecting much from these, but they pack a good punch!

I bought mine before Christmas for around £80. According to the amazon site these have now been discontinued although you can request a used one through a reseller? Whilst not portable I use mine in the garden successfully as it has long power cable. I have seen them elsewhere for circa £200 but would be reluctant to pay that much.

I,ve put this post elswhere but if anybody,s interested Richer Sounds are doing a Kensington speaker/charger for ipods for £19.95 just say your a vip web member (limited stock ).for non vip members still cheap at £29.95 but dont mention that.
