Another pet peeve of mine...

Is when you get an email saying 'winner announced, click here blah blah' and it links to a page saying 'Check back later'

Why send the email out if you're not ready yet :rotfl:

I find it amazing how many emails come out apologising for one sent earlier, or have 'test' in the title, don't these people proof-read before they send them?

I had something similar happen to me. They rang me. Asked if they were speaking to the person who entered the competition, I said yes. Then they said "congratulations, we are delighted to tell you that you have..." I get my hopes up and then after a slight pause, they say "...qualified for a special offer to get our magazine for three months for a pound an issue..."
