I came in the back way when I got back from school earlier and have just noticed something sticking to the glass on my front door. Go outside and it's a piece of paper with 'wet paint' written on it. Yes, some kind soul has painted my front dooronly thing is I never asked them to  Worse than that OH, DS1 and DD were at home and none of them heard a thing
Im guessing someone in my street is sat waiting for someone to arrive to paint their door!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I'd better go and find out whose paint Ive got on my door. It looks fab as well!
How on earth did they manage to paint it without being able to open it ?? For those asking, no way will they be able to make you pay for it, you could in fact demand that they re-instate the previous colour/finish if you wanted (does look very nice though:D)Ms-Money-Penny wrote: »Just had an email to say i'd been selected:j

I fell asleep before the end of the darts match last night:o
DS2 soon rectified that. He was up around 2am. We spent the night dozing on the sofa whilst he watched some totally weird programmes on TV. Result......we slept in this morning:o and had a mad rush to get to school looking respectable
The leavers assembley was FAB! very emotional, lots of lost mascara and lots of tissues used. Lots of staff telling me how much they're going to miss DS2 and how much he makes them all laugh. Very proud
Aww sounds like you had a fab morningeven if it was a bit rushed! I've been up since 4:40am
But I've been on a successful 4p trip so now I'm back off to bed! Think I better set the alarm for going to collect her at 4pm though :rotfl:...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

Oh dear for the other person claire, hope you don't mind the colour they chose.
Mystery solved. It's not the first time there's been confusion over numbering, but I thought the large number at the foot of the drive and the one on the front of the house might help! obviously not.
We live on a corner that joins on to a different street, add to that our house was previously 2 separate houses meaning there's effectively a number missing in the street......
Im chuffed to bitsthe door was on the long list of to do's:rotfl::rotfl: The lady who's door should have been painted Isn't so happy

My OH bought an item on a buy it now last night, paid through paypal, the seller is now saying it was not a buy it now and should have been an auction. So he has cancelled the sale and wants to refund us. He has sent us a message asking for our email address, why, cant he just refund us back through paypal.
Make sure all communication is through Ebay, make them refund through Paypal. It is probably a way of avoiding fees. Don't do a mutual cancellation either, again a way of avoiding fees (though it sounds like they have just cancelled anyway). Personally I would make things as hard for them as you can, they have probably had a better offer from elsewhere. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Wonder if anyone can let me know what I am doing wrong re screenshots. Want to copy over my pp one
I have used snipping tool and saved the image on my desktop.
Chosen copy option
Come back to this message and used CTRL V to paste and nothing is happening
Tried a few times with different formats of the screenshot.:(
Once you've save it on your desktop you need to upload to an image hosting site before you can put it on here, Happy Chappys instructions should be on the first page. Personally I use Photobucket, but there are loads to choose from, once it's on somewhere like that you can post it as an image on hereHope that makes some sort of sense!

Whoever did it must've opened it. The door wasn't locked. Im more  that someone can come and do that with 3 people around totally oblivious!! DS1 and DD were still in bed and OH was in his shed in the back garden all morning.
I wouldn't even entertain paying for it :D as for the previous finish.....in need of a lick of paint :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Hi mummyvb
If you don't mind me asking what is the age range of your children?
Hi tt,
Of course- the boys are 2 and 11 (though 12 in August) and the girls are 4, 8, 9 and 10.
We haven't made it out yet as the girls are having a major sort out due to all the bits and pieces that came home from school yesterday. The 8, 9 and 10 year old all share a room so we have to be strict about it being kept tidy as it gets out of hand very easily with three girls and all their junk in a relatively small space. I find that their behaviour can be affected by their environment (as can mine come to think of it!) If their room is peaceful and tidy it is far more harmonious.
I need to buy them two new wardrobes as they are getting so many more clothes as they are getting older. I would prefer white but if anyone has spotted any MSE wardrobes on their travels then please do let me know!
x
Thank you to everyone whose advice has helped me in my desperate quest to make ends meet. x
EDIT-Back on the quest, I've been away too long!0 -

Thanks, yes we are not happy at all about it, but they have cancelled it anyway.0 -
Good for you. I still have a few more mags and the large store I get them in is on the way to hospital i go to see Mum so would be rude not to pop in.
day 3 of cambridge feel a bit headachy but 5 pounds down already. This is going to be a long 6 weeks I think. But need to look good for wedding pics.
My son was on the Cambridge diet and had a bottle of water in his hand every time I looked at him, he was told water was the only cure for a headache when on this diet. Are you drinking enough water?
You will be surprised at how much weight can be lost. One week he lost 12lb!!
