Wombling is generally pants at the mo - multipacks of coke at £5 and cheap choccie pouches are messing with us:mad:

I have £1.24 for today - the receipts I have left are dismal looking.

    The cricket :T:T

What better way to spend an afternoon, listening to the commentary in the garden and drinking cider :)

Further success in the TDF later.

Better get used to it Fred, for someone who hates shopping, you ask alot of stupid questions, given that this is a shopping based thread :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

All the answers to your questions are in the thread already, just read it, take notes and double check the prices before you leave, they are subject to change :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

What are the stupid questions I ask?

There are over 8000 posts on this thread dating back a long time, probably a lot of it is out of date and not relevant any more.
My very first post was to quote the abbreviations from the first page and to say it would take a while to remember them as it is all new to me.

I think I'll give up on asking questions:(

    A few answers for you

    Firstly.
Perky is better known as Perkypam. She is kind of a mascot on here. Stick around long enough and all will become clear.
    Secondly
All new members who have a lot of questions to ask will be referred to page one. They will also be advised to read the thread. That can mean the whole thread and also past ones.
I have been here a year and can say to you this type of shopping is not easy. I still am not confident on everything and some areas of conversation goes over my head.
When I joined someone told me it would take a year to get my head roundnit all and boy, they were right:eek:
    [...]

Oh it's very very easy:D. (I took to it like a duck to water:).)

I'm at a loss to understand how it could be difficult, but then that's to be expected I suppose:eek:.

All I can say is read, read, read and read again. Start off by copying a small shop someone has posted up.
This thread can gain tremendous speed at times and sometimes there is not time to give all the answers but if you read and study it becomes clearer.

Some members spend a couple of hours a week here, others can spend hours and hours every day and describe this as a part time job.

Everyone is welcome though as the people here pull together in a lot of different areas and substantial charity money can be raised at times.

The coupon thread is also great but this not for chatting just posting new coupons.
Sometimes if you don't want to print a safe coupon straight away you get the option of sending to email which is useful as quite a few people here print off at work. Some you can have posted to you and if you are nervous of coupons this is great as usually comes with back up letter. Great if your store does not like coupons.

Very occasionally nasty people come and 'troll' and this upsets our thread a great deal. Please be aware of this.

I hope you stick around and save as much money as I have. By following this thread I have been able to help out 7 households plus my local food bank.
I do a lot of this because I love to give. Some people are here because this is a way to feed their families and still manage to pay fuel bills.
Some people just love the kick they get from saving money
I hope you enjoy life here.

For some it seems to be a full-time job.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::eek::D
