Good evening playmates,
Still having a great time here. We finally got a thunderstorm and torrential rain yesterday which caucht out a lot of tourists passing our gite and miles from their cars so we invited a few in. We had several French families and ten Canadian girls sheltering with us. Moving on tommorrow to Rocmadour in the Lot but we don,t have wifi so I,ll be absent for a week or so.
Got my first Tesco type bargain here in Carrefour when a four pack scanned as a single tin....not much but every little helps:rotfl:
See you soonAwaiting a new sig0 -

On a plus note my friend who had the key trouble today and didn't come over has received a nice toothbrush in the post.
Really cheered him up as his had broken and couldn't afford to replace.
He says it was like christmas:j
Thats what all this is about for me, making other people happy.
Like Emmap and purple donkey et al and the foodbanks.
I have never felt so financially stable. I don't need much to be happy but the fact I help so many other peple out and others help me makes me feel like at last I belong somewhere.
Totally understand where mummyvb was coming from today.
I love you all for the motivation you give me and enriching my life through friendship. That what this thread means to me. In turn it helps me enrich others lives which is priceless.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Just heard something that made laugh. One of the residents of my mums former care home was doing the gardening, left her false teeth on the table and a seagull swooped down and grabbed them.It deposited them on the roof and they had to get a ladder out to get them

What a lovely post from mummyvb and vanilla twist. This is truly a great thread! I don't contribute as much as I would like as I am not very good at finding glitches like some clever posters on here.
Did manage to get 2 jumbo roll smart price at asda rtc for 59p - filled my trolley but not enough to make a car model! Also got a few of cushelle toilet rolls - thanks to who posted this.
Moved on to tesco and got some loppers for 2.50, a weeder for 62p, 6 jf and 2 vitmo. When i got to checkout lovely sa just scanned one jf and obviously scanned one too many. I also had a pack of shreddies 1.24 and bill came to under £2! Had lovely doughnut courtesy of greggs for my pudding tonight. Good money saving day - but left the hot water tank on since last night which I usually switch on and off when I want hot water. I wonder when all the cooler bags are going to be reduced - i remember getting loads a few years back in the middle of summer - I really need some new smaller ones. i put them in the washing machine but they have seen better days. Really dont want to buy new ones with only 25 per cent off - only do 75 per cent or more! loved the story about the seagull savvy sal!0
