Morning!
Working from home for half the day today then the weekend which cannot come soon enough. This heat has really taken it out of me!
I've just read the extreme couponing thread....
It's not about greed at all for many of us. It's about protecting a way of life that has allowed people in tricky financial straits to actually SAVE some money on everyday essentials. Not a fan of having this disseminated so the savings become harder/glitches are picked up quicker.
I have counted up my £2 off ready meal coupons and there are four sheets destined for the recycle bin....
Agreed !! People don't just get up and decide to use coupons.in my experience its because their circumstances have forced it. Definitely did in my case. That sort of thread is so different from ours. Same as 10 ways. They go for the obvious bargains, the online orders, the no coupon deals.
There are a few who buy tons and that's up to them. My friends often raid my cupboard and say I have loads. In reality except for shampoo I usually have about eight of an item.
If people boot sale excess it could be to pay other bills.
My worry for obvious displays of goodies (we only have odd pics) is that we lose the benefit of the bargains. Supermarkets are feeling the pinch too. All be it still making millions, just less of them and will look at ways to cut their cloth also.
And that includes monitoring social media.chandlerscroft wrote: »Good morning
What a lovely day it is, although I am pleased to be working this morning as we have air conditioning at work:D, and no kids as my 2 broke up from school last week, trying to get them off their xbox box and stop the shouting across the landing is proving rather difficult.
I just popped on to say Thanks to the all OP'ers who gave us the info on the Heinz 5 beans, savoury crackers and the cereal glitch last year, as yesterday our local foodbank collected from us 100 packs of crackers, 60 tins of beans, 8 boxes of Weetabix, 10 tubs of porridge, and 50 packs of moshi monster sweets, which all cost me under £5, as has cleared some room for other glitches.
It was a lovely feeling, and one I hope to repeat soon with your help.

A beautiful day again. Tigercub in bed and DS playing in his playroom so I'm enjoying my cup of tea in the garden :T Anyone fancy a cup?

Good morning a lovely sunny day here in the north, it's going to be hot too, hope everyone is surviving the weather, when it comes to sun cream I prefer to get the once a day type, I am too lazy to be putting it on every hour or whatever, and I read that even re applying does not extend the length of time you are covered!!! I don't get that as would think that a factor fifty would give fifty times longer cover each time it's applied does anyone know if that's true.:)
Confusing or what? I shall carry on applying in the morning with perhaps another spray in the afternoon - working so far and I am not at all pink.ELITE 5:2

I didn't understand it either ! The article said re-applying won't increase the time you can spend in the sun - and in the next breathe it said you MUST keep re-applying every few hours even with the once a day stuff.

They probably mean applying it twice (within 5 mins eg) doesn't mean you have 6 hours protection - just the usual 3There comes a time in every woman's life when the only thing that helps is a glass of champagne ... Bette Davis0 -

What sort did you get please? Did you get the 2 bottles of Vimto Regular Still 500ml's?
Also how does anyone know how they compare on the price promise please?"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138
