Will do. You've hit a good one there!:D:cool:

We have some good results coming out vs Morries (no doubt to the unfortunate annoyance of our N.I. folks). In fact some good results vs S and vs T too!!:T:T:j:j That last shop - vs W - came back with W entirely N/A:rotfl::rotfl:. Not planned that way, just turned out like that, and the APG now suggesting that none of the items are available in W, which is more than likely true. (Not that I'd ever compare any of these against N/A - except the Strawberry Bar. Just checking now. Good - the Strawberry Bar is N/A in T and S:).)

Nearly gave wombling the miss today but decided to stroll around the car park at 6.30.Found £7.36 worth. The ICB shop was not done untill 3.45:D

I'm doing my annual visit north soon and need some advice.
This might be more relevant to any ELITE posters who've visited Andy-Murray-land. Has anyone any experience of travelling up the east coast to Edinburgh from London? I'm thinking of the A1; any tips, supermarkets for cheap petrol, or is it just a rubbish route?

I've always reckoned the west coast's the only way (M40/M6) as seeing as how Bristol's east of Edinburgh, but my info may be out of date, and I've reason to start from the north/east side of London this time instead of the SW London/Surrey borders where i live.

The M1's cursed AFAIK. There's always roadworks, pileups and/or carnage blocking the route .
Any advice would be gratefully received, whether on the thread or by PM. :)

Yep definitely the last season of Dexter. The first episode has set up the last one nicely!

:(:(:( (Not at you, Sal, but at that shopper.) You would have thought they could have bought it much earlier and we find out about it earlier than we have. Instead - for England/Wales anyway - N.I. can't do Morries comps - it comes on shop close time:mad::( and no use now, three long hours later!! :)However, will most probably be on these results tomorrow's shops. A prices may vary (depending on glitch/no glitch) but the M ones will, I think, stay the same on the APG. A good price on ICB. Might be some Sunflower(?) spread vs T at 75p (for 500g) but this on ICB quite good.

personally i would stick with the m6, if that is piled up then go on the m40, i so love the m40 though its so pretty and tranquil. the veiws are superb.

I can only comment on the latter part of the A1 option. Ive driven from Catterick to Edinburgh that way. If it's a scenic route you're after then that one is by far the best option. Stunning in my opinion.
If it's speed you're after then the M6/M74 route is the one. (Boring though:D) If I go the M6 route, I come off the M74 onto the A702 and on to Edinburgh which is also a very pleasant drive scenery wise, once you get off the Mway.

Im not a huge motorway driving fan and will avoid it where I can, If Ive got the time to do so. Especially when Im up North as I love the scenery so much. Don't know if that's helpful or not? I can't help much with the practical stuff like petrol and Supermarkets en route Im afraid.
