Good morning all. What a beautiful morning.
DH off to visit his Mum, DS1 gone sailing, DS2 at work. The house is peaceful and calm. Love it.:D
Got a trip out to a local 'do' this afternoon. There may be a Spitfire flying show, which I love to see. Reminds me of my late Dad, who rebuilt an old one back in 1993. I'll never forget the day it first flew. The feeling of pride, elation and achievement was amazing, and the look on his face and the pilot's is something I'll never forget. Every time I hear that unmistakable roar I think of that day.
I must go and get some stuff from A's so do you reckon the Mullers will still glitch? I've got withdrawal symptoms and need to scratch the 'glitch itch'. :rotfl:
Hope you all have a lovely day and enjoy the beautiful weather. Hugs to everyone

tigerwhite wrote: »Morning Miss Take. Good luck with the packing. I've moved 4 times in 8 years (no more as we bought our forever home 3 years ago:j) and the best tip I can give you is to number the boxes and write a list with roughly what is in each box. It will save you so much time at the other end, especially if you don't get to unpack straightaway.
All my family laugh at me but despite me telling them in great detail, they aren't too fussed. It doesn't help that when my brother tried the milk tray/ fab fingers glitch, he blamed me for making him buy them and therefore eating too much chocolate!!:rotfl: you can't win. My dad inputs his APG now but still can't get to grips with a targeted shop AvT or doing separate shops. I give up now. MY OH puts up with it and thinks its boring but loves showing off the garage to stash to anyone who visits!
it must be a man thing;)
my o/h had friends over to our new house last week and one of them was saying his mum had a huge amount of kitchen roll from asda:rotfl::rotfl:
she dosnt glitch shop just happend to see it in a asda and got lots ,
whats my o/h say "u think yr mums got problems come see what my misses dose":o
he got all 5 of them up and took them to the attick room which is just jammed with allsorts then my utiility room and garage/shed thingy
when they came back they asked if i was a horder :o
AND THE MAGIC QUESTION: how u get all that:eek:
i told them i "glitch shop " they laughed and told me i need a job/life:eek::eek::o (they were joking)
so i said "oh u wont want thebottle of wine for yr gfs then will you;)
they all left with black sack each and my stash still dosnt look any less;):eek::eek::rotfl::rotfl:
i just hope they dnt mistake my house for tescos every week as i live 0.2 miles from tescos lol:T:T:T0 -
Morning all.
Shall attempt to start packing today, we're supposed to be moving in a couple of week's time. Almost impossible to pack a box when you have two small people unpacking everything as you go!
Here's a question for you. Do your friends and family (obviously you RL ones elite members not counted) know about your MSE ways or is it a deep dark secret?
My hubby thinks I'm nuts but never complains when it's a chocolate/ biscuits/ beer glitchI tried explaining it all to my dad as he is an old skool scrimper but as you have to find the deals online then obviously they've all evolved from the devil...
Some of my friends know about my stash but as a general rule I don't tell everybody. The hubby thinks its great as long as it stays off his side of the shedImdebtfree wrote: »A quick read and it looks like I've missed some bargains.

just read this post over on the Tesco Misprices Thread 14 (post 826)
it kind of made me chuckleJust had a barney with my local Tesco CS over 40p
We had a 'Save 40p on pre-packed apricots" voucher".
So we bought a pack of dried apricots to include with our shopping. The voucher didn't kick in and the girl at the till told us it didn't seem to want to work.
I concluded, that since the voucher didn't mention anything about the apricots needing to be ''fresh", that we had obviously been overcharged by 40p.
So back to the car with the shopping and then wifey went back in to get the 80p DTD refund.
She came back with only 40p and gave me some tale about "The CS assistant said it doesn't apply to vouchers."
I told wifey that if some thing should be £7.60 and you get charged £8.00 for it, then obviously you have been overcharged by 40p. So go back and use that as an example and tell the CS assistant that this is just pure common sense!
Back she went and back she came to me in the car, saying, "She won't have it!"
I grabbed the till receipt off her and went marching off to see the CS myself!
"Now look 'ere! Grrrrrrr!!!! etc., etc., etc.!!! So 'm not leaving and you can ring Head Office. I despise being cheated! Blah, blah! Blah! Blah!"
TWO Managers later, I came out of the store with an additional 40p.
Manager No. 1 told me to stop raising my voice and actually asked me to leave. I said, I was sorry and agreed to calm down but I told her no wonder I was raising my voice because it was 'Common Sense gone out the window and so utterly, utterly frustrating that they couldn't see my point of view."
Anyhow, Manager No. 2 was very calm with me, saw I was definitely not going to back off about it and agreed to give me the extra 40p.
Hmmm? I don't think it should have to come to this, should it?
40 blooming pence! Goodness gracious!0
