Advice about bailliffs

Hi again everyone and thanks for the great support you've given me so far. I truly do feel better about the future now but I have a couple of questions.

I have filled in all my details on the CCCs website and am calling them on Monday to sort things out. After I've given them all of the details of the debts and my income etc.. does that mean that all future correspondance is dealt with by them?

One thing I'm worried about is bailliffs, once I start this process should I expect them at my door? I don't think I could cope with that.

All the best.

    Hi Marvel.

I don't know about your previous history, but if you're going to the CCCS the you're doing the right thing (as long as you're going to the right CCCS!) Someone will correct me here if I'm wrong, but I think that you can ask for all dealings to be through them.

Don't be too worried about the bailiffs. They won't all coming to your door in the meantime. There's plenty of threads on here saying what bailiffs are legally allowed to do (and not do). Also, if you ask the CCCS they'll be able to allay your fears.

Sorry if this hasn't been the most informative thread but I haven't been through it and I didn't want to leave your thread unanswered.

    Regards,

    GingerSte.

I went to the non profit CCCS site it's the one that is a registered charity, I didn't even know that there was free ones untill I came here, so this site has already made my future look brighter.

I'm not a weak person in most things but I'm bad with certain types of confrontation. I'm an experienced ex union rep and used to do care work where I used to fight for my clients rights but with some things I tend to bury my head.

I'm not good with debt management issues,it scares me so much that I tended not to open bills and just made sure that there was money in the bank to cover it. Well untill the bank became difficult :)

It's the idea of not only being in debt for years to come but having bailiffs taking everything that is in my home. I am OK with being in debt and working to pay it off, just not the idea of being kicked while I'm down :)
