Won in April & No Prize Received

Hi,
I won a goody bag in a twitter comp from Naughty Nights UK back in April. They asked for my details which I provided and a month later I'd not had the prize so I enquired if it had been sent. They asked for my details again and still no prize a month later. I've now asked a 3rd time a few weeks ago and even though they still ask for my address and tell me the prize was posted, I've never had anything.
How many times do you think it's ok to enquire about a prize before you give up? I don't want to seem pushy but can't help but feel they have never actually sent me anything in the first place as surely something can't go missing in the post 3 times in a row? Any advice on prizes not arriving would be great, I've always been lucky with my wins and have had them very soon after the closing date so am unsure where I stand.

Hi Pink Peach, Ive noticed Naughty nights have many giveaways, have you thought about contacting another winner and see if they have received their prizes? If they have I would continue messaging them until something arrives. Best of luck and keep us posted xWin Totals 2013 £3331 / 2014 £4815 / 2015 £3067 / 2016 £5617 / 2017-2023 £4106 / 2024 £2500 OVER £23K!!0

I think IPM would be the next step now, don't know what kind of regulations are in place for Twitter comps though.0

Hi, sorry what is IPM? Been comping for several years and never had any problems so don't know what it is.
I feel like if you are advertising a prize you really ought to provide it, otherwise what is the point.2013: Interflora Vouchers, Christmas Decorations, NNUK goody bag, thermos flask, macwet gloves0 -

This is from the Comping Guide
7 What happens if my prize doesn’t turn up?
This is going to be individual to each comp. Usually it will state in the T & C for each comp how long it should take for the prizes to be dispatched to winners. As a general rule though or in the absence of any particular details in the T & C, allow 28 days, (allow more if we are experiencing postal strikes or extreme weather conditions). If the prize hasn't arrived by then, get in touch with the company offering the prize. Try to contact the person whose details you have & ask politely if there is a problem with delivery. A telephone call is the best way, but failing that try emailing them. If they don't reply, look on the original website for contact details & contact them, again being as polite as you can.
If you still get no response from them, there are a few different things you can try.
The Institute of Promotional Marketing complaints@theipm.org.uk lay down the guidelines which comp organisors must follow. MSE Compers have reported that they are very good at investigating dodgy comps & missing prizes with one chap in particular Edwin Mutton, being an absolute star. Please note, the IPM was formerly known as the Institute of Sales Promotion (name change in May 2010) however, the contact info does not appear to have changed.
The Advertising Standards Authority have an online complaints form.
I had an issue with a prize not turning up & after chasing politely for 5 months, I mentioned that I had been advised to talk to the Institute of Sales Promotions about the matter. Funnily enough that resulted in a letter of apology within a few days, along with a box of ‘Apology Goodies’ & my prize turned up 2 weeks later. Just remember to keep your cool & remain polite.0 -
Hi
I won an item from them on Twitter, must have been almost two years ago now. I had the exact same, no prize, I tweeted them again after a month and they claimed they had sent it already but would send another out, and that was the last I heard about it. They did not reply to any further tweets, FB comments etc. It was a very small prize so I did not bother hassling them for long, I just entered more comps in the time it would have taken me to chase it! But I googled them and found many comments saying the same thing. I can't believe they are still getting away with it after so long0 -
Hi guys, just a quick update. I rang the company 2 weeks ago today and they said they would send my prize out that day by 2nd class mail. No surprise that it still hasn't arrived.
I think I will contact the competition regulator someone mentioned - in the mean time it may not be worth entering these competitions. They made it sound on the phone like 'oh typical old twitter messing up the direct messages' but it wasn't like that all, they did keep replying to me to say my prize was being delivered. I just think it's really poor that they advertise a comp and then don't follow through with it.2013: Interflora Vouchers, Christmas Decorations, NNUK goody bag, thermos flask, macwet gloves0
