I usually make my own lunch, a big pot of soup, that kind of thing husband usually takes sandwiches but not always. Suppose we could try that one more.
Yes we do he either has tobacco or we buy cigarettes from someone other than a shop, going for the cheapest possible option we hate buying them from a shop!

Is the figure for phones correct? £364 per month:eek:

Can you put your SOA into an easier to read format, you can find it here: http://www.stoozing.com/calculator/soa.php

A loan probably isn't the best idea, even if you could get one. Its a good idea to try and find savings elsewhere first so that you can overpay your debts.

Thanks for that, I've actually got a pretty good wee spreasheet with my buidget on it I just thought I would paste a simple copy on here as an example

Can you not just trust when I tell you what I need it is not really for you to tell me...

They didn't "tell" you, they offered advice in the form of a question, in response to you having posted on a public internet forum for people who want advice.

Why do people do this, ask for advice and then get snippy when a well intentioned poster tries to give it?

What I was really thinking is if I am paying back on a loan over 3 years which would pay off my debts and make it more manageable, Surely that would be better than paying £110 bank charges before I even get to start paying off debt. with a loan I would be £160 per month for 3 years.
I might be missing something vital here which is why I was asking for advice

What are the £110 bank charges for? Unauthorised overdraft?

Can you not just trust when I tell you what I need it is not really for you to tell me as you don't know my life and I dont have to justify why I need a car I just do. Of course I could live without one but so could we all.

Because I didnt, sometimes you just need to pop to the shop for a bit extra, no one ever do that?

my point is, if you can do without a car, then its not a necessity is it ?

if someone is struggling with debt, then it makes sense to try and cut out everything you dont actually need to save as much money as possible.

Cars are expensive, so if its something you dont need, it could help alot with you debt to help you clear it.

if you really do need a car, then fair enough, but many who have cars, dont actually need it, and often just make up excuses for keeping it then complain when its costing them a lot.

but it seems like your only interested in getting a loan, rather than actually clearing your debt

We have 3 overdrafts (mine husbands and joint account) which charge £1 per day so £90 plus the £12.50 they charge for 2 of the accounts minus the £5 "reward"

If thats what you think then that's fine, you dont need to try and help me. Maybe some other people will and will try not to be so quick to judge and jump to conculusions :p

And no actually I am trying to think of the quickest and easiest way to become debt free - is that so wrong??? If it is then im confused by the whole concept

    yes, it is so wrong
there are no quick and easy ways to become debt free

borrowing money to get out of debt is never the solution.

its better to identify why you got into debt in the first place, so you can prevent it happening again. And learn ways to best budget so it doesn't become a problem
