I found a couple of auctions on ebay, do you mean this kind of thing? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Set-of-2-Mexican-Fajita-Sizzler-Dish-and-Stand_W0QQitemZ190118454024QQihZ009QQcategoryZ20632QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I just searched for 'fajita' because they're usually used in Mexican restaurants, but they seem to do them in Argos too http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=10651&langId=-1&searchTerms=sizzling
If there are any kitchen supply shops near you they might do them, I think you heat them directly on the flame so be very, very careful! HTH!

    Hi Elljay,

Have you got a Legend Cookshop near you? They have this one online:

    http://www.legendcookshop.co.uk/erol.html#2120x11311

    The woodblock is sold seperately.

or there is this one complete:

    http://www.castinstyle.co.uk/product.php/178/13/castironsizzler/d87cd08e4b7e89fb852899fcd504e796

Never used one before, but would assume that you use sizzler to cook on hob/oven then just place onto woodblock to serve.

    Hi there Elljay 20
how many of these are you looking for? only i have some - can't remember how many,,oops...have a bit of a problem with kitchen goodies LOL
I know i have 2 i got ages ago as they were quite expensive and then i got some from a pub.so i think i may have some spare if you are interested....
they have the wooden bases and the special handles for taking them from the oven or off the hob..
I use mine quite a bit...well 2 of them :-)....they are great for serving up steaks/stirfry etc...
If you are interested i can see how many i have in the morning, only im in the midst of packing up (off to germany for 3 years) so they are in a box underneath my many other kitchen goodies at the moment...but i can get to them as they have to be packed soon... let me know and i will get back to you..regards jill

I have one that has never been used, it was very cheap though ;)

Do people really only use these for impressing guests because im not sure I can warrant using it.

I suppose maybe things stay warmer for longer?

i do a barbecue chicken melt that i first got served on a sizzle plate in a pub, and would love to use them at home. the sizing of them also is good for stopping the sauce sliding all over and quantasizing stuff!! i WANT SOME!!!!
