I believe the card is available from Sky for around £20. Here's the Sky Freesat website although I don't see the card listed on it's own, only a complete package for £150. Might be worth giving them a call saying you already have the equipment installed and would like to buy the card alone.

Quote from the site: I already have digital satellite equipment - what else do I need?
All you need to get access to the free channels available on the digital satellite platform is a freesat viewing card which costs just £20.

the reason why Sony freeview does not appears on the index website is because they no longer stock this item. it was in index autumn winter 2004 catalogue. could be the lucky person picked it up from the clearance line. cat no 610-664. out of stock in nottingham :-(
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

i heard that there is another card that can be bought for £20 (from some shops) that will do the same job? Does anyone know of this card have any idea where i can get it from?

My main fear is that, if i buy the version2 card from someone on ebay, Sky will just release a version3! card and encript all the channels again!! :(

The most effective way of getting this card...

You already have a sky dish. Sky is currently doing a 3 months 1/2 price deal for ex-customers who already have a dish. Take the family pack at £9.50pm. Cancel after 3 months. This way, you get 3 months viewing and a guaranteed working card for only £28.50
