quick question re Dates ??

I went BR April 26th , had face to face OR interview May 15th and not heard anything since except an e mail saying they were not taking a pension plan into account ... will I get a letter saying either i will or won't have to repay anything ? Seems strange that I've not heard but at the same time i don't want to bother them ...

You'll get a letter from the OR telling you whether or not you'll have an IPA, or asking you to contact them if they have any queries on your SOA. I wouldn't contact them just yet - we've had a Bank Holiday, plus there may be a backlog. If you haven't heard anything by 15 June (as that will be a month since your OR interview), I'd send them a letter asking for an update -write, not ring, as that will give you written evidence you've been in contact with them & aren't trying to avoid dealing with anything they may have sent you in the post that may not have been delivered. :)

OH went BR the 20th and has heard nothing. He had one pack of forms the day after his hearing and that's it.

I went BR later on the 10th May and have heard nothing. I filled in the same forms that OH was sent, after my hearing and that's it.

I can understand that - every day seems to drag until you've heard something. :) I went BR on 29 March, but didnt even have my OR interview until 27 April, & mine apologised saying the delay was caused by volume of work. I think if a month has passed since your hearing/OR interview without any contact from the OR then it's worth chasing them up, but otherwise I wouldn't bother. :)

    Hi desperate mum,

Yes BR is mostly about sitting and waiting.

I have only had 3 letters from my OR.

    Went BR end of Sept.

    1) Initial letter requesting info/statments etc.
    2) Letter in Nov saying that OR had applied for release as trustee.
    3) Letter a month ago, saying that I was being considered for early discharge and to complete the IPOQ.

In other words, as others have said, no news is good news. :)

  • That is the really strange thing if it had been a telephone interview i would of expected to send statements etc off to the OR to see but i had a face to face and took EVERYTHING with me and the OR didn't ask or want to look at ANYTHING ... not my self employed work records , bank statements proof of earnings , didn't look or question my SOA ..... NOTHING that is why i am worried because everyone on here has had a mention about SOA , statements ...I just feel something is wrong but can't see what .... but I will stop worrying because whatever it is I CAN'T CHANGE ....

Sometimes they request the info from the banks themselves, so they don't need to ask you for it. I had a telephone interview, & have never been asked to produce a bank statement or proof of income. Maybe they think you're less likely to be lying if you put loads of info on your SOA (I gave everything about my accounts including fax numbers, addresses etc & did the same regarding my employer), plus I had no assets & my income is pretty basic. In the telephone interview, the OR wanted to confirm a few points with me, but the only thing they actually asked me to send was more info on my works pension. :)
  • thanks ... yes i too put everything down on my SOA I thought too much info at the time but perhaps that has been a good thing ....
