I rang them today and they said that this offer don't exist anymore (expired last year) and that it's £30 each for me and my friend who referered me in vouchers?

Is this correct? The number I was asked to dial is 0870 2412939

    Hi Phillai

If I were you I'd try again until you get someone who accepts it, some of the staff there seem more helpful than others! I was told that this was a new offer and replaced the £30 deal - apparently it has been advertised by direct mail, but I was told about it by one of the Sky people I spoke to a few days ago. Have been looking for the number I called, but can only find 08702 424242 scribbled on my notepad

    good luck!

I just tried and they were having none of it, they said there is no such deal and the onyl deal there is currently is the £30 voucher deal and it's been that way since Christmas. :( I phoned on 08700 248900.

I'd love to go for this if I could. :(

Pity they don't do decent offers for existing customers, going to phone up tomorrow and see if I can upgrade to SKY+ on the cheap

If you're out of contract period with Sky and prepared to stand your ground you should be able to get Sky Plus for free, with free installation, free box and no monthly charge. The Sky Plus monthly charges are being dropped for all customers from 1st July anyway.

Have a read through this thread HERE if you need convincing.

We're getting ours fitted tomorrow! :j

OMG! I rang this evening to complain about me getting these vouchers and not the Sky+ box and basically the guy said that 'cause I ordered last week the offer to me (on the day that I ordered) is the vouchers offer.

But because it's not been installed as yet (16th June), the guy was going to cancel my package and reorder it again...

But suddenly, whilst the guy was sorting all this out for me, I got cut off cause my cordless phone is faulty!

Now, as it's after 8pm, I have to wait till tomorrow to sort out as Sky are now closed after 8pm! :(

Apparently this Sky+ offer for new customers on this 'Introduce a Friend' started on the 1st June...

But he did acknowledge that the deal does actually exist? Because the lady I spoke to said it didn't. If so that's encouraging, I guess I'll have to try again.

Yep, he said that it started on the 1st June. He asked me how I know and I just said my friend told me about it via direct mail.

I will call them up again tomorrow and let you know what happens.

Hope you get it sorted Phillai!

1st of June make sense - i ordered mine on the 2nd and the guy said it had just come out - he had to check details with his manager. I think some of their staff just aren't aware of some new offers or are aren't particuarly bothered about letting customers have these deals - definitely don't give up though, if one advisor won't listen then put the phone down and try again!

Well, after when my phone went blink yesterday evening I called them and they confirmed that my original Sky Package that I applied for last week, had been canceled.

The guy said he'd get back in touch with me about the Sky+ thing but I've not had a phone call back so I'm going to apply again tomorrow.

One thing though... Do I call via the 'introduce a friend' number first and go thru the normal Sky number first when I apply?
  • I have received a leaflet from sky for free sky + for new customers. I already have sky + but my friends currently have standard sky. They would like to upgrade to sky + but would this offer be valid to them as they already have it? Would they be able to get it if it was regsitered in a different name, but at the same address?

    Anyone got any tips?

I got this deal through the post yesterday.
The number to ring is 08703 360 159, the code is sky+iaf.
My brother took the offer up, they asked him my details though to prove that he was eligible for the offer.
