Hi everybody,
I have listened to Martin on his spot on the Jeremy Vine show & believe he could be a hero of the consumer!!!! My predicament I am in is that I am looking to purchase a new house. I have my eye on a couple & am really stretching myself to buy a house at approx the £265K mark, is there any way of legally reducing the stamp duty costs?? The houses I am looking at are 'New build' houses, is there any way that anybody knows if the builder can write this cost off?? Im sure there must be a legal loophole somewhere!!! I can really not afford to be paying £8K for this 'Stealth tax'!!!
HELP!!!!

As far as I know the only way you can get out of having to pay Stamp Duty is if you buy a house in a 'disadvantaged' area, wherby legally the area is now exempt of stamp duty.0
