Nothing is guaranteed. You could rent for 5 years then buy and split up 6 months alter. My mum and step dad split up after 23years.
I bought my house 6 months ago, i put down the deposit and its solely in my name (due to her having a dodgy credit history... and no savings), but the house is ours. This is the first time we have lived together - there are arguments and i hate big brother and most of the crap on TV she watches but in the main it works - its all part of being an adult you both have to make sacrifices etc.
Nothing is guaranteed, we could split up tomorrow, but we could split up in 6 months of 6 years. Just get on with life and sort out any problems as and when they arise.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
