    You didn't need to.

To be fair, Graham generally posts decent stuff for debate, so I wouldn't want to put him on ignore. I've not had a problem with him until this one, for some reason he seems to periodlically have to indulge in a bit of trolling/baiting, perhaps things have gone badly in real-life and so he takes it out on here?

From a discussion perspective, I think it's important to have a wide range of viewpoints, from wildly optimistic to downright depressing, what we don't need are pages and pages of people trying to explain the simplest concepts to someone who is clearly on a wind up.

TBH I gave up on this thread it became more like a childrens playground.

There is valid and interesting stuff and it is good to see differing views a you say along with the odd friendly wind up. Gets boring when it continues into endless vitriol.

I tried to give up when I saw the way it was going, but as you can see from my reply to NDG, it didn't work out too well. It's difficult not to get dragged into these things when someone is intent on turning a discussion into an argument. Even the tried and tested "Let's agree to disagree" that usually ends an argument before it starts was turned into an argument point. Never seen that happen before.

Oh well, I'll put that down to experience and learn to pick up the signs better, just move to a different thread when it becomes clear that the person I'm debating with is just looking for a row. :)
