Illegal parking, failure to indicate at roundabouts, bad driving in general!

What is going through a driver's mind when they decide to park on a pavement? It would be funny if it wasn't so dangerous for pedestrians, especially wheelchair and pushchair users who are forced into the road. Do they think that yellow lines don't count if they park next to them rather than on top of them?:rotfl:

Also, when did indication at roundabouts become optional? I understand that when there are no other highway users to see it might be pointless. Last time I checked the Highway Code pedestrians are highway users too. When someone is crossing a road at a roundabout, if you are not indicating that you want to turn into the road they might assume that you are continuing to the next exit and start to cross.

And then there is the van driver I had to report to the police after he came very close to hitting me as he sailed through a red light while the green man was showing for me.

Being a pedestrian in this country sucks. :A

OMG!! I'm really tempted to buy (or possibly make) some of the stickers they use because I often have a little internal rant about the stupid ways people park and it would make me feel better to pop a sticker (that can be peeled off and won't cause any damage) on the offending cars.

Shame it would be impossible to do the same to people who are driving like c*nts!
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!

I nearly drove up the arris of someone the other day - two lanes round a roundabout, we're in right hand lane, taking the second exit (about 1.30 pm if it was a clock!). Bus in left hand lane taking first exit. Car ahead of me goes onto roundabout, gets to point where first exit comes on and STOPS DEAD. Fortunately, the bus hasn't yet pulled out so I can swerve into the left lane and go round the STILL STOPPED car ahead of me, while giving them a good blast on the horn.

Once I've got past them and off the roundabout and my heart is starting to return to a normal rhythm, I get all this flashing in my rear view mirror (I'm driving at the speed limit) because they seemed to be annoyed that I dared to not hit them.

The *really* funny bit of this? Behind me at the approach to the roundabout (and hence now behind them) was a police car...which did its duty and pulled them. Oh how I chortled as I carried on my journey.

The other thing that really annoys me is people not knowing what the NSL is. It is *not* 32 mph on a single carriageway A road. The road is nice and wide and good condition. There is no problem driving the road at the limit of 60mph...
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Who is the bad driver in this case? Failing to leave enough space to stop safely, suddenly swerving into another lane with no indication and probably only a cursory check to see if it is safe.

    Why didn't you just stop?

It appears that the police have already decided that question.
