Bacon hotpot disaster

Options
Hi, ok - so I'm not a good cook. Found the recipe on here and several variations people had recommended for the above. The one I tried tonight was using condensed soup instead of cheese sauce. The instructions didn't say whether to add water to the soup or just use it neat - I used it neat and the hotpot was really dry and burnt on the bottom:(.
Do I guess from the result that I should have added water?

    Or used a lower temperature.
It would only usually burn if the temperature underneath was too high, not if it wasn't really juicy. was the rest of it dry? And you did have a lid on it didn't you?

Yes you need to dilute, use the can as a measure it is usually half and half, also cook on a lower temperature. Another tip is to check it frequently.
