I got a free game from xbox!

Can't beleive my luck, xbox were having problems yesterday, they might still be today but yesterday I tried to purchase Limbo, it was in the sale at 600 points down from 1200, been after it for a while but don't think it's worth 1200 as it's a small game, anyway the sale would not go through because of the problem on both the console and PC, I tried loads of times, but low and behold the problem seems to be fixed but the price is now 1200 so I live chat with xbox to see if they will agree with me that I should only pay 600 as I had tried all day to buy it at the lower price and it was only because of their issues I couldn't, I wasn't demanding or anything as I knew I was a little cheeky asking but I am a MSE member after all anyway I got the can you please wait whilst I check that for you and can you confirm when the price was 600 etc etc all the right sights as they do then they hit me with sorry it's out of our control...but would you like a free game :eek: I say "yes please" I ask for Limbo but they can't do that one, so I say ok any you offer will be fine so they give me this link http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-GB/Product/Defense-Grid/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d802584108cb sorry you guys can't get it as it's only free for me, they were very kind in offering this to me for the disappointment of not getting Limbo at the sale price.

To be honest limbo is not all that it is cracked up to be i had a go on my brothers xbox and was bored within 5 mins so you may have had a lucky escape with a little bonus there lol

The game they gave me is free this month anyway, Limbo was on sale for gold members, this "free" game they gave me was free to gold members anyway! I thought it a bit of an insult (maybe insult is to strong a word) to placate me with an offer of a free game that I could have got free anyway, the cheeky !!!!!! :eek:

NOt sure as it's hard to judge the Xbox live customer service people as they do tend to talk like programmed robots but I think he may have hinted Limbo may be the next free game this month so fingers crossed, if it is all is forgiven :rotfl:

oh and I sort of agree, I have played the demo and that and the fact it is small had stopped me paying full price for it but it is one I would like to play though just not at full price
