Hi MFW's,
Well we've paid off 13k, and two OP's totalling £600, leaving our balance today at £67,750. From 1st September we'll start seeing £900 come straight off the capital, and will try our hardest to make OP's of £250 each month.. Meaning £1150 to come off the capital every month!
this will be great to actually see!!
We are now withdrawing £120 cash per week, this is for groceries (£60) petrol (£20) and anything else we might need or would like to do (£40). We have managed to stick to this for the last two weeks at least
We have also sold a couple of bits which helps.
We are both really trying to stay focused on the bigger picture.. Sometimes it's hard, and we both come on here for inspiration! But I guess we have to tell ourselves that 6 hard years will be worth it in the end, and we will be a lot better off for it.. Plus out DS is only 11 months old now, so he doesn't realise or want want want yet, lol.
Does anyone else have there 'off days'!? What do you do to stay focused??

I am certain we all have off days - life still carries on and we just have to find ways of refocussing

I keep doing my daily Tilly Tidies, which is basically just to ensure my mind can't wander :rotfl:

Moving any pennies (£0.01-£0.99) to your mortgage or OP savings pot each day.
There are a few variations and I can't remember who named them but it was something I did to keep daily focus and results in approx £30-40 per month off the mortgage with little effort.
Good luck
