Advice on underwriting / mortgage process

Hi

Okay guys . I am going to ask some annoying questions because I am so very desperate

Halifax application in last Tuesday 25th (credit searches showed on husbands Experian) asked immediately for recent payslips , my ID and address verification and tax credits confirmation .

Provided everything and it was reviewed and accepted bar the tax credits only had last page of provisional offer - Don't need this anyway don't know why MA factored this in as combined income covers it -

So he is now ringing Halifax to ask them to take it off income .

Can anyone advise is this currently being reviewed with underwriter ?
who is requesting info ?
Why was my credit file not showing searches?
The survey was done yesterday, Any idea on how soon we will know?
How do Halifax react to removing info ?

Any recent success stories

Thanks a million in advance :j:T

I received an email the next day of valuation informing me that the offer was issued. Received it in post the next day (so within 48 hours of valuation).

    Applied 11-Jun
    Valuation 19-Jun
    Offer issued 20-Jun
    Offer received 21-Jun.

New Build though, so doesn't need detailed analysis and report by the surveyor. Perhaps the reason why the offer was received so quickly(??)

My credit file showed only one search (mortgage application) - on the day of the application itself.
