Lost Money through Wrong Account Number Input

Hi All,

I'm hoping someone can help myself and my client here.

I accidentally typed in my account details incorrectly when passing them over to a client for their payment.

I realised immediately what I had done and tried to stop but the client had been far too quick.

My client has written to the account holder (through the bank) who inadvertantly received this large sum of money but this money is not being returned even though they have been informed that by keeping it they are breaking the law and the bank are apparently saying 'Tough Luck' and do not appear to be interested in helping.

What can we do now? Its a reasonable sum of money that neither of us can really afford to lose.

Many thanks
