Drying herbs

I want to dry herbs from my garden so I can use them later to make teas. Lots of books say hang up bunches to dry but I don't want them getting cobwebs! Does anyone here dry their garden herbs, if so how do you do it?

I bunch mine up and put them in a paper bag to hang up, I usually use the brown paper bags that I get when I buy veg on the market. but if I havent got any I make a bag from white printer paper and staple it together.

yes, its better to put them in paper bags - not just because of cobwebs- but some herbs will lose their leaves and if you can gather them in the bag, it makes it much easier to bag and store.
also, tie the bunches tightly - as they dry they shrink and there is nowt more frustrating than finding your herbs scattered all over the floor!

Another vote for brown paper bags, with herbs upside down in them. This is also very useful for drying/collecting seeds.
