Mortgage application with Woolwich

Hi all, we applied for a mortgage in December last year with the Woolwich but the sale of our house fell through so we couldn't go any further with the application, it was agreed in principle though.

We have sold our house again and applied for the mortgage again through a mortgage advisor (as we did last time), firstly the Woolwich lost the cheque for the survey so we had to send another which stalled things a bit and now things are being stalled again as the application is with the underwriters. They had asked for a few extra bits of information such as proof of my partners earnings as the wage slips that he sent are a bit smudged his employers sent the proof in a fax but because they didn't type the proof the underwriters want it typed.

The mortgage advisor has been great she has been on the phone to them everyday so now she has spoken to her boss now who says that she is furious and she will contact them on Monday to speak to the big chief there. We have threatened to apply with somebody else if things drag on any longer which we don'treally want to do as this means a bigger delay.

Are the Woolwich well known for taking time???
