Then why doesn't it make the headlines more often? No wonder the police are overstretched chucking people with complaints out of suopermarkets, surely this is a civil matter anyway and the police should decline to become involved.

I think you'll find a number of consumer articles relating to similar practises appear quite frequently in the press.

And people love to hate Tesco, if all the supermarkets do it, it'll be Tesco in the headline (or thread title) and not say Asda.

The trouble is Tesco publicly declared a scant few weeks ago they would seek to reduce waste. This has been confirmed as a complete lie. They are continuing to not sell single packets of most anything for the same price as when purchasing more than one - not as a one-off special offer but as at a continuing price point.

The trouble is other supermarkets have joined in. Even Marks and Spencer will no longer behave honestly. The trouble is this low behaviour works - M & S just announced their food sales are helping them now that they are behaving like grubby stack 'em high low renters.

The trouble is the public do not care. The trouble is the public stuff their trolleys with this rubbish - they obey the diktats of the flashes. I have never met another person who boycotts lines that are priced this way. Tesco are not going to change - their computers do not lie - they have the data to prove that gullible or at least uncaring scum will pile their baskets high and put more money through their tills.

So which other supermarkets call in the police to gas their customers before carting them off in the black maria then?
The only thing that is constant is change.

I was referring to pricing issues as the OP mentioned, not the post above mine.

    Lidl'SSS and Aldi'SSS
are a Much better choice than Tesco'SSS .

They don't get you gassed and beaten with batons by pet police dogs either.

It could be YOU next if you buy a duff tele from Tesco'SS S.
