Anyone had any problems with Now dallies?

My computer security runs a full scan each week and also lets me know when stuff like Java and Adobe needs updating.
Yesterday my scan was clear and I updated Java.
Started the daily competitions using Chrome, but when I went to open tabs for the new competitions in Now, those that had been added, I got one of those fake update messages about Java.
I clicked it out but it brought up the download box, clicked that out and went to open the next tab but then noticed one of those grey envelope 1 message for you flashing boxes at the top of the page.
I closed everything, emptied my cookies/browser etc, and cleaned the disc too. Went back in and had no problem.
Then today it happened again too, again with the new additions to Now's dallies- doesn't occur with any of the others.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I got that yesterday. Nearly clicked on it, but I was suspicious because it seemed to pop up for no reason. So I just closed it. Didn't happen today when I did my dailies. S'funny huh?

It's been happening to me for two or three days now. It happens to my virginmedia email webpage.
It's got a variety of different names but they all end in download.info. It offers to update Java, Windows, and Adobe, basically you name the most used applications, it offers an update.
I've run several different anti-virus and anti-malware programs, but none seem to detect anything. It seems to be a malicious cookie.
If the scam wasn't so obvious it could be dangerous, however it may well catch the unwary.
For me it's just very annoying. I keep up to date with security matters, so I'm not particularly worried, but I'd still like to know what's going on, and how I could stop it.
I've been trawling the net and have found people on three websites reporting the same problem;
Sorry I can't post the full URL's, but just type "poshdownload.info" into Google.
It looks like something very new, so I'll be following this. Will post any info I get.0 -
