Wins by web entry rather than phone/text

Hi all - new on this site so first of all I apologise if I have put this thread in the wrong area. I have been wondering if anyone wins competitions when they just enter by the free method of web entry or whether you actually need to phone up or text in for competition - a further apology if this is a really silly question also but had just been wondering whether it is still the same chance whatever way you enter.
