Paying your Barclayloan early
Options
Hi,
Searched for this a few times but nothing answered my queries specifically, wonder if anyone can help. I'm probably overthinking this, I'd just like confirmation that this is "right" more than anything.
I called the Barclayloan line today (0800 716598) to get a settlement figure and pay off my loan. No problem, they yanked the amount out of my account on the phone, told me I'd have notification in 10 days and said the same about the amount showing in my online banking, and they cancelled my DD at the same time too.
Having checked my online banking, there's an amount taken payable to BLOAN TFT, so all fine and dandy I think.
Now, my DD went out on the 8th, and my Barclayloan is still showing at £5147. If it hasn't cleared onscreen by the 8th, are Barclays going to be on my case about taking the DD? Has anyone else had this?
Thanks for anything you can say to ease my fears!
