Hi, My sister seen an ad in local paper for Hotpoint / Whirpool washing machines 1000spin and 6kg load for £100. They come with a 6 month guarantee and are based in Armagh. They will deliver to her house for free (£100 all in). What do people think - too good to be true or just a bargin. I'm thinking machines are probably reconditioned.

I would imagine refurbished for that price. The fact they can offer a 6 month warranty, rather than the typical 5 year warranty would imply the machines aren't new.

Clearly they're used at that price, and i would imagine 'reconditioning' involves checking it works and giving it a bit of a clean.

Having said that older machines are likely to be less complex and more sturdy.

There's a place in Lurgan, can't remember the name, but it sells a massive number of reconditioned white goods items and stand over them all. They've been there for years. I was in it one day on mystery shopping and I couldn't believe what they were selling washing machines, dishwashers and fridges for.

No, facing the war memorial on the same side as Fa Joe's.

I would try multifix in Portadown or Armagh

Ditronics - that's the place I was thinking of. I've seen the Multifix shop in Portadown and would reckon it's probably along the same lines.
