I won in small claims court, they now want to settle, but I don't know how to do that

(A follow-up on this thread - forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=4611527)

They owe me just over £1,000, and have offered to "settle" for £700 (which I'm happy with - long story), but I'm not sure how to go about doing this. Most of the advice on-line about CCJs and settling is from the debtors point of view, not the debtee's.

They have asked me, and I quote, "will you please Email me for my records. Suggest. On recite of payment for £700 in full and final payment the court judgment. Ref Claim number ****** will be removed.", but I have no idea what they're asking me to do!

Any advice would be gratefully received.

I think this means that on receipt of your £700, will you E-mail them so that they can update records and close the court case.

I think this is a request from the company rather than the court.
