Cancelling Sky

I'm moving house and need to cancel Sky (but have no intention of having it at my new house, for a few months anyway, unless it is very very cheap to do so). Can anyone please advise me on what I should do? Should I keep my (basic Sky) box for a time in the future I may want to get reconnected? I'm moving next week so want to cancel and stop being charged as soon as possible.
(And yes I know I should have rung a couple of months ago and tried to get it discounted for my last months!)

I'm moving too soon but have no intention of reconnecting as I'm emigrating!
If it's only the standard Sky box you might want to consider just getting Sky + when you get Sky again which will mean a new box anyway.
They just did away with the £10pm fee for Sky+ so that might be a better option that will give you more functionality.
If the house you are moving to has had Sky, but they took their box with them, then you can always plug yours into their dish and get the free channels.
