But I am just so p***ed off I lost everything and now even the car! He had just swanned off to America, no thought to kids etc.
I want to go back to work etc, I have a profession if I don't stay current I will lose it.
Really I want to make my ex pay in some way, but it seems he had it all sewn up.
while I was trying to cope with my life falling apart!

Does anyone know if its possible to look in to his finances, I.e. bank accounts, inheritance etc? Mind you I would have to get him to court in the UK first I suppose. It foes seem that money/ assets are very important to him!

Is the HOmewrecker American? Sucks to be her because once a cheater always a cheater.
Yes, It is possible to hire an accountant and look into his finances. If he is trying not to pay child support the US is not the place to go.

Yeah she's American but her name is Mexican so I am not sure. Funny thing is the army lads who go on exercise there are warned about local girls before they go. I have no idea what is said, but I presume I am not the first or last this happens to. Not sure how I can pursue him in America if I do not know where to look, or Mexico. I do feel the system can be a little bit rubbish and let these deadbeats get away with not paying or taking responsibility too easily.

Your partner may have ceded ownership of the vehicle to the finance company, however considering you imported the car back into the UK and paid fees etc. to do so, you could argue that the car was a gift from your OH at the time. (Consult your solicitor when you see them).

As for the HPI, occasionally a lender marks the car on HPI for security even though this is wrong and being a personal loan you can request the marker be removed.

Has the vehicle already been taken? your OP states you found out that he had signed paperwork surrendering the car to the bank...if they already have the car, I would imagine a long drawn out exercise and you will need to a solicitors legal advise on this matter as opposed to opinion on a public forum.

I would check facebook but Texas, Florida, California, New York would be my top guesses.
He went through passport control and filled out landing card that needed an address so there is a record somewhere.
